Alfonso (Al) Gonzalez is a 5th and 6th grade STEM teacher from Chimacum Elementary School. Al has been teaching for 32 years! Al was the 2021 NCCE Outstanding Educator of the Year and a 2022 EPA Presidential Innovation Award for Environmental Educators recipient. Al teaches in a 1:1 classroom and he has enhanced his curricula by getting grants for 26 of the 32 years he's been teaching and 24 of those were consecutive!
