Rena Clark is a middle school STEM teacher and longtime educator with nearly 20 years of experience as a teacher, instructional coach, and district facilitator. She co-hosts the AVID-sponsored podcast Unpacking Education, sharing insights on technology, creativity, and leadership in education. Rena also serves on the NCCE Board and is passionate about helping educators find joy, balance, and creativity in both teaching and parenting. Outside of work, you can often find her tap dancing, jogging, playing saxophone in her community band, or cheering at her three children’s events.

I currently serve as the Coordinator of Technology for my District. In this role I provide professional learning for our staff and run our Technology Department. Our instructional emphasis has been UDL for a few years. I was a teacher for primary for 9 years and I have been current position for 20 years. I also started as a professor for WWU. Certifications: K-8 general education, K-12 special education, 4-12 child development, and K-12 Administration. Presenter at various conferences: NCCE, MicroK12, ASCD, and WASWUG. Liza Francisco Voss is the Chief Technology Officer for Franklin Pierce Schools, with 33 years of experience in educational technology and 18 years in leadership roles. She leads districtwide technology strategy, systems modernization, cybersecurity, and digital learning initiatives that enhance instructional effectiveness and operational resilience. She leads the district’s implementation of technology tools, designed to enhance instructional engagement and expand interactive learning opportunities for students and educators. Her leadership emphasizes sustainable, secure, and student-centered technology ecosystems that support long-term instructional excellence. A dedicated advocate for Women in Technology, she actively promotes mentorship, representation, and professional pathways that support women pursuing and advancing in technical fields. Liza is the current President of the Board for NCCE and will serve in this role for three years.

Diane Marsh is a seasoned educator with 20 years of experience in education and dual teaching certifications in Texas and Montana. Diane has s a master’s degree in Instructional Media and is certified in Microsoft, Google, ISTE, and MagicSchool.ai. She was recognized as the 2020 Outstanding Technology Educator by the Northwest Council for Computer Educators, where she currently serves on the NCCE Board of Directors. Her expertise spans curriculum development, professional training, and technology integration. Diane currently teaches business courses in Texas and has always been a strong advocate for integrating technology to enhance student learning and career readiness.

Dr. Jeremy Sullivan has served as Director of Innovative Learning and Student Supports for the North Kitsap School District for the past four years. Prior to this, Dr. Sullivan was an English teacher and then Learning Specialist for Springfield Public Schools. Dr. Sullivan holds a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Missouri State University, a Doctorate of Education in Instructional Leadership from Lindenwood University, was selected as an METC 2020 Spotlight Educator, and has facilitated professional learning workshops at METC conferences, NCCE conferences, the National Blended and Personalized Learning Conference, GOCSD Innovation Summits, and the IB Global Conference.

As the Director of Educational Technology with OSPI, Bre leads an innovative team committed to supporting all districts, especially rural and small districts, with digital equity and inclusion, media literacy & digital citizenship, cybersecurity, and successfully accessing and utilizing federal and state EdTech funding. In her state role, she brings a variety of educational experiences that are foundational to her advocacy for equity of access. As a rural student, classroom teacher, instructional coach, building administrator, technology director and educational service district staff, she offers wide-ranging perspectives and relevant insights that successfully supports and informs her in her leadership role.

Middle School Social Studies Teacher
Vancouver iTech Preparatory

John teaches MS Social Studies and coaches National History Day at iTech Preparatory in Vancouver, Washington. John uses a HiPstory (Hands-on, individualized, Project-based History) approach to teaching. His students become historians by focusing on developing skills that'll last beyond the classroom. Instead of using textbooks, they conduct research and interviews, build museum exhibits, create documentaries, practice Archeology, and produce VR. He's served on multiple education boards and won local, state, and national awards for his teaching. He's also developed an official partnership with the Fort Vancouver NHS for the VR tours and 3D-scanning of artifacts for them.
