Art Spencer has been in education for over three decades as a third grade teacher, elementary school librarian, and now middle school librarian. As an elementary school teacher librarian he implemented a MakerSpace that used no electronics. He has always been a proponent of educational technology and has given in-service presentations on topics such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office, MakerSpaces, Digital Citizenship, and others. He is passionate about engaging students through technology and now leads middle school esports across Washington state. Besides teaching he enjoys video games, pop culture (especially conventions), and reading.
