WSSEA and TSA: CTE Competitions for Esports

Part of Esports broad appeal is how easily competitions can dip into CTE competitions to engage more students in multi-discipline STEM projects. The Washington State Scholastic Esports Association is working with the Washington Technology Student Association to bring these competitions to our state! In this session, learn about this year's competitions and our plans for the future!

Jason Dilley is a 15 year, National Board Certified CTE educator in the Sedro-Woolley School District. Seven years ago, he developed one of the first esports programs in Washington State and has spent considerable time helping other teachers and schools setup their programs as well. In 2020, Jason along with other educators around the state, formed the Washington State Scholastic Esports Association, a 501(c)3 non-profit designed to facilitate Esports competitions in WA state and support coaches with the formation and continuation of their clubs.
