Designing Professional Development for Innovation and Growth

Wednesday, February 14, 10:00 am–10:50 am
Seattle Convention Center - 609

I still remember a PD day where it was announced that it was the last one of the year, and the entire staff broke out cheering and clapping. Professional learning doesn't need to be like this. This session walks through a method of developing professional development so that it is focused on a clear school vision, allows teachers choice in their learning, is embedded in the day-to-day work of teachers, and focuses on the celebration and sharing of growth. Attendees will walk away with a plan to identify their next steps in helping to foster a culture of innovation and long-term growth in their buildings.

Format:
50-minute Session
Focus Area:
Coaching, Leadership, Professional Development
Audience:
Administration, Curriculum Specialists, Instructional Technology/Technology Coaches
