Blended Learning and Technology in the Elementary Math Classroom

The goals of this workshop will be to evaluate strategies to differentiate using technology; explore how to set up math station rotations, learning playlists, and utilize blended learning; define how to incorporate twenty-first century skills into the classroom; and investigate resources to create a plan on how to organize math instruction to reach all levels of math learners in an elementary classroom. Participants will walk away with a several technological resources to utilize in their classroom to enhance classroom practices and student engagement.

BYOD Needs:
Chromebooks or laptops are optimal. I will utilize Wakelet and Google products. There will be more options, but I have not completely organized all apps as of yet.
Note: Be sure your electronic device has a fully charged battery as only limited power sources will be available.

Katherine Senecal is an instructional coach at East Helena Public Schools in East Helena, Montana. She was the proud recipient of the 2023 NCCE Outstanding Educator of the Year. Katherine is Nationally Board Certified with a Literacy- Reading/Language Arts focus and holds a Masters of Science in Educational Psychology. She has worked in public education for close to 20 years in multiple capacities. Her educational passions are focused on utilizing multiple tools to make each and every student a productive member of the learning environment.
