We have had a Battle of the Books program for 20+ years, and yet engaging families and the community to celebrate the work our students put into this competition has become increasingly difficult. Come learn about how we leveraged Microsoft Teams Live Events to triple our community engagement and connect our 30 elementary school library programs to host our end of year Battle of the Books competition through Microsoft Teams.

Currently the Assistant Director of Digital Learning for the Kent School District. Studied Education - Middle level science from Central Washington University (2013), Certified Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert (MIEE), Masters in Education/Library Media from Antioch University (2016), and Administration Credentials from Seattle Pacific University (2021). Supported KSD Professional Development as a Trainer, BEST mentor and Trainer of trainers. Worked as a curriculum writer/editor and developed a Robotics program for AVID. Have been the host and coach of several First Robotics FLL Clubs, Host for Hour of Code/Coding Club.
