Coding with Minecraft Education

Have you ever wanted to get started with coding in your classroom? In this workshop come get first hand experience with integrating coding into your classroom. Use Minecraft Education to explore programming skills and concepts for learners at all levels. Start with block coding and transition into Python.

Randy Hawkins is a 3rd grade Gifted, and Talented teacher committed to teaching students to be lifelong learners and take ownership for their own learning. He holds a master’s degree with an emphasis in Ed Tech from Boise State University (2009) and a bachelor’s degree from Idaho State University (1997). Randy is the digital tech lead for his building and a member of the school leadership team. He has presented at various workshops for teachers within his own district and at the Northwest Council for Computer Education conference. He love sharing technology resources with other educators.
