Believe! Lessons in Instructional (Technology) Coaching According to Ted Lasso

Wednesday, February 14, 10:00 am–11:50 am
Seattle Convention Center - 616

WLA21

Through three seasons we watched Coach Lasso turn a dysfunctional football club into a winning team through optimism, strategic coaching moves, and folksy charm. As instructional coaches, many of our challenges mirror that of Ted and his team. Coaching has the potential to radically transform schools by cultivating the strengths and skills of our students and teachers. In this session we will study the ISTE Standards for Educational Leaders and Coaches through the lens of Ted Lasso. Participants will actively engage in coaching moves that will help them form meaningful relationships with staff and students, create effective teams, and give them the tools to foster powerful conversations that allow for risk taking and transformational education. “It smells like potential!”
