Shaking Up Learning with AI: A Hands-On Summit for Today’s Classrooms

Wednesday, February 25, 1:00 pm–5:00 pm
Seattle Convention Center - 611/612

Join us for a dynamic, hands-on summit exploring how artificial intelligence can truly shake up learning across classrooms and grade levels. Designed for educators at all stages—PreK–12, with special attention to inclusivity for elementary teachers—this energetic half-day experience moves far beyond “sit-and-get” sessions.

This summit brings together leading thinkers, practitioners, and policy experts to guide educators through the rapidly evolving landscape of AI in schools.

Throughout the afternoon, participants will dive into practical, tool-agnostic strategies that center pedagogy, instructional design, and safe, meaningful implementation of AI in teaching and learning. Together, we’ll explore best practices for:

How to balance excitement and uncertainty around classroom AI

Ways educators can integrate AI into instruction through content areas—not as an add-on or “just another tool”

The growing divide between student and adult AI literacy, and how schools can respond

Grade-level–specific opportunities, including concrete applications for elementary teachers

How emerging state-level policy trends intersect with classroom practice

Real stories and perspectives from practitioners, leaders, and (potentially!) students

You’ll also experience interactive roundtables, learning tours, and collaborative discussions aligned to NCCE’s conference theme: “Let’s shake up learning.”

Special Guests:
We’ll be joined by several nationally recognized experts and regional leaders who are shaping the future of AI in education. Stay tuned for updates and speaker introductions.
