Make Your Own Trading Cards

Join us for an exciting exploration of app-smashing with AI tools to create an engaging and interactive learning environment. We will demonstrate how to combine various AI applications to enhance classroom activities and empower students.

Participants will discover how to use School AI, Microsoft Designer or Adobe Firefly, Canva, and Book Creator to create professional trading cards that can be printed into amazing looking business cards to trade at conferences. This activity can also be done with students of any age for any subject area! We will share an example of this activity used in a Science classroom with 6th graders.

Alfonso (Al) Gonzalez is a 6th-grade STEM teacher at Chimacum Elementary School with 34 years of experience. Honored as the 2021 NCCE Outstanding Educator of the Year and a 2022 EPA Presidential Innovation Award recipient, Al integrates cutting-edge technology and environmental education into his dynamic 1:1 classroom. Over his career, he has secured 27 grants, including 24 consecutive years of funding, to enhance STEM, robotics, and environmental science curricula.
