Co-Creating Heritage Language Programs: Partnering with Families for Multicultural Success

In this session, participants will learn how to develop co-designed heritage language programs in schools, fostering multilingualism and affirming students’ multicultural identities. Through a case study of a school that successfully implemented Hindi and Arabic heritage language programs, attendees will explore best practices for engaging families in the process. The session will provide an overview of how to initiate a program, design its structure, and sustain its impact. Participants will also have an opportunity for a Q&A discussion.
