Info Lit: Leverage What You've Got to Create What You Need
Seattle Convention Center - 616
In 2022, a small group of teacher-librarians from all corners of Idaho gathered to tackle Information Literacy instruction for Idaho’s students. It was a big job, especially in a state that values local control in schools, and where four-day school weeks make spare instructional time scarce. Two and a half years later, the resulting NextGen Info Lit project strives to leverage tools and resources that already exist, align them to state content and other standards, and provide easy ways for teachers and librarians to incorporate them into everyday classroom routines. Join us to learn about the NextGen project, and how it could be a model for other states and school districts to adapt and customize to fit their needs.
