Librarians and library staff are the unsung superheroes of their schools, constantly adapting and innovating to inspire young learners despite shrinking budgets. This conference celebrates your superpowers and aims to equip you with even more tools for your superhero toolbox. We’ll introduce you to a wealth of free Open Educational resources and connect you with like-minded panelists who will share their secrets for leveraging social media to connect with authors and access free educational materials. Plus, discover free pedagogical tools to enhance your presentations, webpages, pathfinders, and worksheets. And don’t forget to visit the Nexus Hub during breaks and lunch, where you can immerse yourself in all thing’s library related. Get ready to level up your superhero game!

Lia Dossin is a member of the All4Ed team supporting the organization’s initiatives focused on digital planning and implementation within the Future Ready Schools® project. Her responsibilities encompass strategic engagement, overseeing outreach and partnership, and the management of programs and grants. Before her tenure at All4Ed, Lia held significant positions that underscore her deep commitment to education. She served as a teacher librarian and technology integration specialist at an elementary school, where she played a crucial role in bridging the gap between traditional education and cutting-edge technology. Lia’s expertise extends to the field of educational technology as well. She was the manager of online community and technology for the State Educational Technology Directors Association (SETDA), where she was responsible for managing technical aspects and content development across SETDA’s online properties. Additionally, she held the position of senior manager at PBS Education, where she oversaw online facilitation and community initiatives.

Erin is the District Consulting Librarian for the Boise School District, where they provide training and support for librarians, teachers, and students to help them get the very most out of library and information resources. They are passionate about helping to develop leaders at all levels and using the school library as a hub for promoting positive reading experiences and institutional trust for learners of all ages.

She is currently supporting other Washington State K-12 educators in her role as the Media Literacy & Digital Citizenship person at OSPI.

Sarah Logan is the Teacher-Librarian at Skyridge Middle School in Camas, Washington. She was the Washington Library Association School Library Division’s Elementary Teacher-Librarian of the Year in 2024 and is the WLA Board immediate past-President. Sarah is instrumental in the #K12Librarians4AllWA campaign, which seeks to increase access to Teacher-Librarians in Washington’s K-12 schools. Sarah was the Teacher-Librarian at Dorothy Fox Elementary in Camas from 2015-2024. Prior to that, she was the Teacher-Librarian at Lynbrook High School in San Jose. She earned her MLIS from San Jose State University’s iSchool in 2012.

Jen has been the School Library Consultant at the State Library of Oregon for 16 years. Her primary responsibilities include promoting OSLIS and the K-12 statewide databases, tracking school library statistics, and helping school library personnel find answers to a variety of questions. Previously, Jen drove the bookmobile for Salem Public Library and was a school librarian in two Oregon school districts. She began her education career in El Paso, Texas where she was an elementary school teacher and then a school librarian, after receiving her Master of Library Science degree from Texas Woman’s University.

Shannon serves as the preschool-12 district teacher librarian at Van Meter Community School District in Iowa. She is also the Future Ready Librarians Leader and Capstone Community Leader and author. Her new book, Sonia's Digital World, was published in 2022 with ISTE and Capstone. Shannon is an avid blogger at, The Library Voice, writing, speaking and consulting on librarianship, education and students around the world. And her most favorite role of all....proud mom of Brianna and Hagan, and lucky wife of Eric's.

Dr. Sarah Moukhliss, a Florida resident, is proud of her 23 years of professional experience, primarily in education, spanning public libraries, K-12 school libraries, and academia. She specializes in designing online courses for library research skills and information literacy. Moukhliss supports faculty in locating Open Education Resources, conducts research consultations for all levels, and instructs nursing doctoral candidates in research strategies. Her educational expertise ranges from K-8 library media skills to innovative pedagogical strategies for college-level online learning content creation. Dr. Moukhliss completed the ACLU OER bootcamp. Additionally, she is certified in Quality Matters and is working through Microsoft credentials.

Jeannie Standal has been the School Library Consultant at the Idaho Commission for Libraries (ICfL) since 2013. Prior to joining ICfL, she completed stints as a Library Media Specialist in an elementary school and in a middle school in North Carolina. Jeannie holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Boise State University and a Master of Library Science from East Carolina University. She is currently an empty nester living with her husband, Eric, and Great Dane, Roxy, in Boise, Idaho.

In Maryland, I was mainly a STEM and languages teacher for grades 6-12. In 2017, I moved to Washington and worked at the Washington Talking Book & Braille Library. I've been at the Washington State Library since 2019 and earned my MS-ILS from the University at Buffalo in 2024. I love all reading-related things, crafts, cats, and technology!
