Let the Games Begin with MakeCode Arcade!

What do students love? GAMES! What do students create in MakeCode Arcade? Also GAMES! Harness your students love of games and gaming to get them excited about learning to code. MakeCode Arcade provides the perfect platform to get your students creating their own games in no time and take their coding skills to the next level. In this session, participants will learn about the features of the Arcade platform, create their first game, and discover multiple ways they can use it with students of all coding skill levels.

Marcie currently teaches 7th grade Computer Science in southern Indiana and is a professional learning specialist with NCCE. She loves using coding as an avenue for students to be creative and make choices in their projects and is frequently blown away with what they create. She is an MIE Expert and has experience in both Microsoft and google platforms. In her spare time she is also a certified yoga teacher and a beekeeper.
