Accessibility for Native American Students

Learn about the barriers Native American students face in public education and what the Port Gamble S'Klallam Career and Education Department is doing to make learning more accessible for Indigenous students. Using a combination of technology, innovation, cultural resources and teamwork, PGST is striving to help all of their students be successful in their educational endeavors whether they are heading to the work-force or post-secondary learning opportunities.

I am a Special Education Teacher, Library Media Specialist and English Teacher with almost 20 years of experience in Florida and Washington State. My husband and I work together as an educational support team with the Career & Education Department for the Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe. We work with an amazing team to support our students and their families in order to make learning more accessible for all.
