Find the WHY Behind Your Teaching
Wednesday, March 4 1:00 pm–1:50 pm
TCC - Tahoma 2
What we do as Teachers has little impact on Students if we don't truly connect to the WHY behind the WHAT. All too often, Teachers get caught up doing what they've always done from year to year, regardless of new students in their classrooms, updated curriculum & technology, and a variety of tired practices that have been around for many years. It's become far too easy to just keep rolling out the same lesson plans and worksheets and trust that "it's always worked so why fix something that isn't broken?" Based on my experience as an educator and the lessons in the book "Start With Why" by Simon Sinek, this session will inspire you to search beyond WHAT and HOW you do things to understand the power and impact of getting in touch with the WHY behind your teaching. By connecting with your Students, injecting creativity & human connections into your Teaching…..you can be the change agent to transform your campus community into the place all Students and Teachers want to be, EVERYDAY!
