A hands-on session led by educators who are using the creativity of Minecraft:EE combined with the power of coding.
Prodigy Learning has available an ‘off the shelf’ solution for you – Coding in Minecraft curriculum & micro-credential. The curriculum has been created for any teacher to help develop computational thinking, coding and collaboration with learners (aged 9yrs – 14yrs). Three courses which can be used in K-12.

The first two courses focus on coding using block-based code. The advanced course transitions to JavaScript - the foundations for progression to MTAs.

It is essential to bring a fully charged laptop (and mouse) with Window 10 (preferable) or MacOS with the latest version of Minecraft:EE installed from here: http://aka.ms/download

He is also the Product Manager of the Coding in Minecraft credentials & curriculum by Prodigy Learning. Peter is also a Lecturer at one of the top 5 colleges of Further & Higher Education in the UK. He founded CoderDojo Belfast, a volunteer coding club for 120 kids developing their coding skills, and now embraces the game-based principles of Minecraft to teach CoderDojo members coding with MakeCode and JavaScript.
