Alyssa Tormala, Jesuit High School
Alyssa Tormala is the Vice Principal of Professional Development and Innovation at Jesuit High School in Portland, Oregon. She is an Apple Distinguished Educator and Microsoft Innovative Educator fascinated by how technology can open the door to innovation in teaching and learning. Prior to joining Jesuit High School, she served as a teacher and Instructional Technology Coach at St. Mary’s Academy in Portland, Oregon, where she helped launch a 1:1 iPad program, spearheaded the development of a computer science program designed for young women, and led the school to become the first Apple Distinguished High School in Portland.
