Staff Syncing- From summer PD through the school year

A strong school year begins with intentionally designed PD that orients the staff in the same direction. To avoid "syncing" issues with your staff learn practical ways to use Microsoft teams, OneNote and Forms to accomplish this goal, maintain and build on the PD through the school year, and bring new teachers into a technology rich environment. Find helpful solutions for communication across campuses, ongoing curriculum and assessment support, establishing consistency of instructional practices, and effective ways to evaluate and mentor new teachers.

Lauri Nichols, Amazing Grace/Renton Prep Christian School
Lauri Nichols has 13 years of teaching experience at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels. During these years she has also held several leadership positions on both campuses. Lauri has a Master's degree in Educational Design and Technology and is a Microsoft Innovative Education Expert. As a leader of a Microsoft Showcase School she enjoys being given the opportunity to try new Microsoft tools and give feedback, as well as continually reflect on innovation in the classroom and helping students learn to use their voice to contribute solutions to the challenges of our global community.
Kayla Vrudny, Amazing Grace/Renton Prep Christian School
Kayla Vrudny is a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert. Kayla has taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade and has successfully implemented technology touch devices in each grade she has taught. Kayla has a passion for designing learning experiences that promote student voice and creativity through the use of technology tools and devices. She enjoys having her students create original digital artifacts with different Microsoft education tools such as Sway, Mix, Class OneNote and Snip. Currently, Kayla has implemented Minecraft Education and has had her students complete a variety of challenges that connect to different content such as math, history, and art.
Abbey Zenk, Renton Prep Christian School
Abbey Zenk has taught 4th and 5th grade. She is an MIE Expert and past Curiosity Machine Master Educator. Abbey is currently completing her Master in Educational Technology. She loves all things math and problem solving and has enjoyed bringing in new tools into all subject areas in her classroom. In her current classroom, each student has a Surface and using the digital inking capabilities, online resources, and Microsoft tools she has been challenged to rethink what excellent teaching should look like and it has transformed the way she teaches and her beliefs about education.
